Who it’s for

For adults comparing an enzyme blend as part of a meal-related supplement routine. The clearest comparison starts with the enzyme names, serving instructions, and activity units. Ongoing, severe, or unexplained digestive symptoms need professional assessment. This supplement is not a substitute for prescribed enzymes or a medically required diet.

Read the activity, not just the weight.

Each capsule contains 400 mg of the Makzyme-Pro enzyme blend. The label lists protease activity as 2,500 HUT. Blend weight and enzyme activity describe different things; activity amounts for the other enzymes are not listed.

Questions about Digestive Enzyme Plus

Straight answers, taken from the product label.

Is Digestive Enzyme Plus a probiotic?

It is positioned as an enzyme supplement. Its source description names microorganisms, but the panel does not provide a viable probiotic count in CFU. That information is not enough to present it as a live probiotic product. Enzymes and probiotics are different product categories.

Does it contain lactase?

Yes. Fungal lactase is listed in the blend. The panel does not specify a separate lactase activity amount, so it cannot establish a defined lactose-digestion capacity. The presence of lactase does not make dairy safe for someone with a milk allergy.

How long does the bottle last?

There are 60 capsules and 60 one-capsule label servings. Taking one capsule twice daily uses two capsules per day, making the bottle a 30-day supply. Follow the suggested timing and avoid increasing the amount based only on the size of a meal.

Can it replace a restricted diet?

No. Do not use this product to override a food allergy, a clinician-directed diet, or prescribed treatment. Its ingredient list does not establish protection against gluten or allergens. If you are unsure why a food causes symptoms, discuss that with a qualified healthcare professional.

Before you start

Do not exceed the recommended dose. If you take medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, or are considering this product for someone under 18, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use. Review the complete ingredients with a healthcare professional if you have food or botanical allergies.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing. Store in a cool, dry place.

Research notes and sources

Understand what the enzymes do

Different digestive enzymes act on different food components. Proteases, bromelain, and papain break down proteins; lipase acts on fats; lactase acts on lactose; and alpha-galactosidase acts on certain carbohydrates found in plant foods.* These are enzyme functions, not a guarantee that this blend resolves a digestive symptom. (Ianiro et al., 2016.)

Read activity and weight separately

The panel lists 400 mg for the enzyme blend and 2,500 HUT of activity. HUT is a protease activity measure; it does not describe the activity of every enzyme in the blend. The available panel does not disclose separate lactase, lipase, or alpha-galactosidase activities. Comparing blend weights alone cannot establish equivalent enzyme performance.

These sources explain ingredient information and evidence limits. They do not represent testing or endorsement of the DAYLO finished product.
